Product Description
The HV-5Z Digital Auto-Turret Vickers Hardness Tester is an integrated optical–mechanical–electronic system designed for high-precision micro-indentation from HV0.3 to HV5. The instrument features a computer-controlled measurement platform, an engineered optical system, a closed-loop loading mechanism, and a digital interface for fully guided testing. Its automatic turret ensures precise switching between observation, loading, and measurement positions while maintaining consistent optical alignment.
With the digital micrometer eyepiece, operators simply measure the indentation diagonals and press the eyepiece button—the hardness value is calculated instantly on-screen, eliminating manual table reading. The cast-aluminum frame minimizes structural drift, while dual optical channels allow real-time viewing and digital capture. The HV-5Z is ideal for laboratory micro-indentation applications requiring reliable force accuracy, optical clarity, and long-term repeatability.

Product Advantages
High-precision optical system designed by optical engineers provides bright, distortion-free imaging and supports basic microscopic inspection.
Industrial digital display shows hardness values, diagonal lengths D1/D2, dwell time, test force, count, and conversion scales.
One-piece cast-aluminum housing ensures rigidity, deformation resistance, and long-term stability.
Auto-turret mechanism maintains alignment accuracy during observation-to-measurement transitions and minimizes operator influence.
Digital micrometer eyepiece supports instant hardness calculation based on indentation diagonals.
Closed-loop loading maintains precise force output across HV0.3–HV5 levels.
Dual optical channels allow simultaneous visual inspection and CCD-based digital imaging.
Two measurement ranges—800 μm and 400 μm—with resolutions of 1 μm and 0.5 μm deliver high-fidelity micro-indent readings.
XY stage with 100×100 mm area and 25×25 mm travel ensures accurate micro-area positioning.
Optional PC-based measurement software eliminates human error and increases QC efficiency.
Application Range
Micro-indentation analysis for thin metallic foils, micro-fabricated components, and precision connectors.
Hardness testing of micro-layers such as surface-treated zones, plating layers, thin coatings, and low-thickness engineered surfaces.
Evaluation of brittle materials including glass, wafers, ceramics, carbide substrates, and small optical elements.
Microstructural hardness mapping of localized zones such as heat-affected spots, micro-welds, and strengthened edges.
Suitable for R&D laboratories performing material development, micro-mechanical studies, and fine-scale surface engineering validation.
