The JB-B Series Impact Testing Machine is designed to determine the impact resistance of metallic materials under dynamic loads, enabling the evaluation of material properties under dynamic conditions. Developed in accordance with the national standard GB/T 3808-2018​ (Verification of Pendulum Impact Testing Machines) and GB/T 229-2020​ (Charpy Pendulum Impact Test Method for Metallic Materials), the machine tests standard specimens with a cross-section of 10×10mm. With high impact energy capacity, it is primarily used for testing ferrous metals with high impact toughness, such as steel and its alloys.

The JB-B model operates as an electrically controlled semi-automatic impact testing machine. It calculates the energy absorbed by the specimen by measuring the difference between the potential energy of the pendulum before impact and the residual energy after impact, displayed on a dial gauge. After fracturing the specimen, the pendulum automatically swings back using residual energy, preparing for the next impact test. This feature makes it ideal for laboratories requiring continuous impact tests and industries like metallurgy and machinery manufacturing that conduct large-scale impact testing.
