Product Description
The 934-1S Digital Barcol Hardness Tester (Barcol Impressor) is an indentation-type hardness tester. It features fast and simple operation—just one press to get results. It is mainly used for quick hardness testing of aluminum and aluminum alloys, meeting the standards ASTM B648, ASTM D2583-07 (Standard Test Method for Indentation Hardness of Rigid Plastics by Means of a Barcol Impressor), and GB/T 3854-2005 (Test Method for Barcol Hardness of Reinforced Plastics).
The tester is primarily designed for aluminum and aluminum alloy hardness testing but can also be used for other soft metals and fiberglass products. It is suitable for testing various large, wide, and thick workpieces and assemblies, such as plates, strips, profiles, forgings, and castings.
In the aluminum processing industry, the W-20 type Webster Hardness Tester is commonly used for most alloys, but for ultra-hard aluminum alloys such as 2024 and 7075, the W-B75 Webster or Barcol Hardness Tester is recommended. For pure aluminum, low-hardness alloys, or large and thick aluminum workpieces, the Barcol Hardness Tester is ideal as a supplement to the Webster type.

Product Advantages
Equipped with a support rotation positioning device.
Automatically converts hardness values between HW, HV, HB, HRE, HRF, HRB, and HRH.
Maximum value hold function records the highest hardness during testing.
Average value calculation for up to 29 data groups.
Compact and lightweight (550g) for easy carrying.
Excellent stability, convenient calibration, and high testing accuracy.
Operated with one hand, no special experience required, suitable for any accessible location.
Wide testing range — from pure aluminum to hard aluminum alloys (equivalent to Brinell hardness 25–135HB).
High sensitivity — testing range 0–100 with higher precision than Webster (20 scales).
No support required — ideal for extra-large or thick workpieces and assemblies.
Applications
The 934-1S is widely used for aluminum and alloy processing, soft metal testing, and fiberglass product inspection. It is especially suitable for testing pure aluminum, low-hardness alloys, and oversized or thick materials where other testers cannot be used.
